The Venturer Troop is fnow accepting new members!! Teenagers 14 -17 years old –  please see the new Venturer Section for more details.  As well as accepting new Unit members, we draw from both Fairlight/Manly and Harbord Scout Troops.  We meet at Ivanhoe Park Scout Hall. New kids: 6 week trial period FREE. If your child (and you) then decide to continue, the requirement is to then join the Scout Association, pay the membership and become invested.

Note that NSW Scout Groups qualify for the NSW Government Active Kids vouchers! This can be used to offset state fees. The process is explained on joining. Creative Kids vouchers cannot be used.

If you want to do more, we are always looking for new Group Committee members to help maintain and manage the Scout Group so that the Scout Leaders and Scouts can get on with Scouting. It’s not enough to have good leadership, it has to be well managed too! It is the Group Committee that allows the Group to realise its goals and build a sense of family in the Group, a ‘Group Awareness’.

We are always looking for new Leaders, especially female leaders!! If you have an adventurous spirit, and want kids to grow into the same adventurous spirit, this could be something for you, and the rewards are awesome! As a leader you get many benefits, not just the intangible reward of a job well done, but discounts on membership, and a great new uniform! For further information, see here.
