Fairlight Manly Scouts and Venturers held a canned food drive to help local families in need

Inspired by the US holiday of ‘Thanksgiving’, the Scouts collected more than 150 tins of food.

They created an artwork out of the cans before learning about the US traditions of Thanksgiving and getting a taste of the traditional sweet treat – pumpkin pie.

The food was then donated to LocalKind Northern Beaches based at the Soldiers Memorial Hall, 52 Raglan Street, Manly.
