Cubs make finals at Sirius Cup
Fourteen cubs represented Fairlight/Manly in all C2 and C4 events in the various age groups on offer. We had a team in every final, bar one, including two boats in the U11 C2 final. Thanks to North Pymble for the loan of a canoe!
DropHike
Each patrol was blindfolded and dropped at a different unknown location with the goal to find their way back to the Hall and complete the photograph challenge. Who will be back first with photos of all the checkpoints?
Cubs take over the Manly Sea Life Sanctuary
The Cubs went on a excursion to the Sea Life Sanctuary. With the whole sanctuary to themselves, they were treated to an excellent guided tour and education program.
This covered the Little Penguin exhibition – most of the Cubs have also been doing Project Penguin work at school, they almost knew as much as the guides.
After a sausage sizzle, they then went on the night time tour of the main aquarium – in the dark! Sharks and Stingrays look very impressive in the dark, too.
Thanks to the staff at the Sanctuary for a fantastic time!
